The unsettled weather is likely to continue as much of Germany will get a shower or a thunderstorm during the middle of this week.
This is due to a low pressure system which will move out to the east and a weak cold front will move in from the northwest, this will lead to showers and thunderstorms.
As the area of low pressure moves eastwards from southern Germany into Poland on Wednesday, it will cause showers and thunderstorms from Stuttgart and Munich to Dresden and Leipzig. These thunderstorms are expected to occur just southeast of Berlin. In Berlin the conditions will be partly cloudy with sunny intervals and the maximum temperature being close to 24°C during the afternoon.
Some of the thunderstorms could cause heavy rainfall which will increase the risk of flooding. The greatest threat of flooding will be across Bavaria. All in all the weather will improve across the south and the east on Thursday with mainly dry conditions and seasonal temperatures.
Meanwhile a cold front will move in from the northwest, triggering showers and thunderstorms on Thursday. Scattered storms will affect from Saarbrücken northward to Cologne, Düsseldorf, Hanover and Hamburg. During the afternoons the weather is likely to be the stormiest with chances of torrential downpours and gusty winds.
