UK Rains

Storm Callum pounded the United Kingdom with heavy rains during the last weekend. In fact, areas of Wales, Northern England and Scotland saw hefty showers to the extent that 3 lives were lost. Floods were triggered as Rivers breached their banks along with which hundreds of homes observed power outages in view of Callum.

As of now, Callum has moved away, however the Southeast region had a rainy Sunday due to the remnants of the system.

Talking about the rest of October, it seems like high temperatures will prevail. As per weathermen, the present week is likely to see light rains only, however, a rainy month thereafter seems to be in store.

Monday began on a cloudy note in the South and Southeast followed by a few spells of rain. On the other hand, Northwest could commence on a chilly note. Otherwise, rains are not in store for all the regions and weather will be dry and sunny for some. Meanwhile, the far Northwest may see some scattered showers.

From Tuesday to Thursday, many areas will see an obscure start. Wednesday is likely to see showers in the Northwest while Friday would have a sunny start.

Light rain with cloudy sky conditions are expected on Friday in the Northwest and most parts of the country would witness similar weather conditions by end of the day. Strong winds and showers would persist in the far Northwest as a wintry time is likely this month.

Next weekend onward, windy conditions with rainy spells are in store. In fact, the heaviest rain is likely in the North and West followed by squally winds.

Weather is expected to be dry in the southeast, although some rainy spells along with windy conditions are in store. Temperatures will remain in the average range but may become cold later with an increasing risk of overnight frosts.

By the end of October and into early November, weather systems may become slow-moving at times. Thus, West and Northwest will see the rainiest and windiest conditions, with the south and east observing mostly dry with slight chances of some rain.
