Typhoon Sarika to batter Philippines, China, Vietnam next week

After the destruction from the Typhoon Chaba, another storm can be seen brewing in the southern parts of China. Many parts of the Philippines to southern China and even Vietnam must be on alert as another typhoon is growing in the region.

At present, Typhoon Songda can be seen in the western Pacific Ocean and has no threat to land, but another deadly typhoon lies close behind.

In the East of Philippines a muddled area of rain and thunderstorms may form into the next tropical storm, namely Sarika later this week. The coming Friday can see Philippines battering with the tropical system followed by southern China and Vietnam over the weekend.

The system is most likely to strengthen into a typhoon before reaching Luzon Island. If the system persists over open water then there is more chance of it becoming a typhoon on a path toward northern Luzon.

The ongoing rain, gusty winds and open waters will increase as the system strengthens.

If weather conditions remain the same then the risk of flooding, mudslides, damaging winds and an overwhelming storm surge will increase across Luzon this weekend.

After Luzon, the system will bypasses Manila causing heavy rain to stream in the capital later this weekend and trigger flooding.

After battering Luzon and Manila, the system will then head towards southern China. Residents of Hainan Island to North Vietnam are on alert as the future typhoon is likely to slam onshore around the middle of next week.
