Haima will have the potential to threat Luzon, Philippines, Taiwan and southern China from the middle of the week.
At present it is developing in the Pacific Ocean, southwest of Guam. It is expected to quickly intensify in the western Pacific Ocean and each the status of a super typhoon before posing threat to the northern parts of Philippines, Taiwan and southern parts of China.
As of Sunday, Haima was seen 225 miles north-northwest of the Yap Islands
According to satellite images, an area of convection can be seen around the center of the tropical cyclone. We can also significant banding, which indicates strong upper-level outflow jets.
Haima is likely to undergo rapid intensification sustaining winds of 240 kmph or even higher as and when it attains the strength of a super typhoon.

Earlier on Sunday, the Typhoon Sarika slammed into the northeastern parts of Philippines. At least two were reported dead with more than 15,000 being displaced. The storm has caused immense damage by flooding villages and downing trees.
