On Saturday morning, the eye of the storm was positioned approximately 500 kilometers east of Ho Chi Minh City of Vietnam. It sustained winds of about 80 kmph. After landfall, the storm is expected to weaken but bring heavy rain in Quang Ngai and extend up to Khanh Hoa Provinces. It will weaken into a depression after bringing heavy rain in the Indo-China Peninsula region.

The storm will cross Thailand and reach the North Andaman Sea and may not gain further strength. However, Skymet will keep its readers updated.
