Just close to the western coast of Africa, a new tropical storm has developed over the Atlantic Ocean. The depression which is named as Tropical Depression 13 accumulated on Monday approximately 350 miles west of the Cabo Verde Islands adjoining Karl in the Atlantic.

As per the meteorologists, the Tropical Depression is expected to slowly gain strength and become a tropical storm. If that be the case, the Tropical Depression would be named as Lisa.

The Met Department also claims that the system is expected to move westwards first crosswise southern Atlantic, thereafter, it is likely to get directed towards northwest.

However, the department furthers clarifies that the Tropical Depression is expected to remain in the open waters of the Atlantic and would not cause any harm in the United States. Thus, the threat of the Depression over United States remains null.

However, the possibility of this Depression bringing in some rough seas and rip currents to the Cabo Verde Islands cannot be ruled out as well. Moreover, any boats travelling across the particular region of the Atlantic Ocean can be disrupted.

Not to be missed, this year, two Tropical Depressions had already made their appearances in this part of the Atlantic Basin so far. Tropical Depression 13 being the third one after Tropical Strom Storm Fiona and Hurricane Gaston respectively.

However, like the other two, this system is also likely to move across the open waters of the ocean for numerous days. Thereafter, there are chances of the Depression being dispersing in the ocean.
