The National Weather Service confirmed that a tornado had touched down parts of the Plantation in Miami, South Florida on Monday.
It was just before noon that the National Weather Service confirmed the tornado was classified as an EF-1 with winds striking at around 85 mph.
The tornado which was ushered with strong gusty winds ripped and toppled down trees in Plantation area. However, a tornado warning was issued for east Central Broward at 1:27 am. It was after the radar captured a severe thunderstorm moving towards the northeast at a speed of 40mph.
The tornado started in the Cooper City at 1:18 a.m. and before ripping off the Plantation area, the tornado strolled 4.75 miles in another nine minutes.
These strong and hefty winds sent the debris flying and trees tossing. One tornado has struck down the areas between Nob Hill Road and Northwest 6th Street through Cleary Boulevard and Northwest 98th Avenue.
Though the winds were destructive in nature but no injuries to property or human life has been reported. However, a lot of oak trees have suffered as most of them ripped off from their roots and toppled on vehicles.
As per the weatherman, the day temperatures across the city will be in the lower 70’s however, during night, the mercury can settle in lowers 50°F.
