Germany has been witnessing dry weather for quite some time now. But after witnessing elongated warm weather, Germany is all set to witness thunderstorms. These thunderstorms are likely to come over this weekend.
Although, most areas are expected to observe dry and seasonable warm weather, few showers and thunderstorms over the area cannot be ruled out as well. These showers are foreseen to hit the north on Saturday.
However, one of the greatest threats is expected to be from Hamburg and Kiel to regions across north Berlin. But if the forecasters are to be trusted, the day time over these areas is expected to remain mostly dry.
As per the Meteorological Department, the country is expected to witness temperatures in mid-20 degrees. The range of temperatures throughout the central and southern region of Germany is likely to remain between 20°C and 22°C which is close to 68-72°F.
However, giving some relief to the locals, a cold front over the northern half of Germany is expected on Sunday. This is most likely to cause scattered rain-thundershowers across parts of northern Germany. Southern region of the country is also expected to witness some isolated showers.
As per the weatherman, few strong thunderstorms are also likely to witness recurrent lightning along with good rains.
Moreover, weather is expected to show its effect on various events likely on Sunday. These include the Fall Folk Festival in Nuremberg, the Rheingau Wine Festival in Frankfurt or Reichsstadt Festival in Rothenburg.
