Third Winter Storm Pluto hits Northeast US, claims 2

In a short span of time, Northeast US has received a flurry of storms. First it was Winter Storm Nico, then there was Storm Orson and now, Storm Pluto has struck the region. States like, Maine, Vermont, New York New Hampshire has been engulfed in snow.

This storm is strong enough having claimed 2 lives as of now. One man was killed in Vermont a he lost control of his truck while driving on the snow covered Interstate 91. The vehicle rolled over and ended up in the middle of the road. Investigators say speed and snowy conditions caused the fatal accident.

Another person died in a multi-car crash on snowy roads in Cayuga County, New York. This collision forced the officials to close Route 20 east of Auburn in the region.

In a Facebook post on Wednesday afternoon the Westbrook Police Department said, "It looks like we are going to get some intense snow tonight, up to a foot of heavy, wet snow.  We aren’t going to sugar coat it. Tomorrow’s morning commute will be a royal pain."

In Central Maine more than 16,000 customers remained in dark on Thursday morning as they woke up without power. The storm started in upstate New York on Wednesday morning.

But amidst the hefty snowfall, the weather has given amateur photographers a chance to show off their skills.
