Thanksgiving is finally here. For Americans it's time for family, food and travel. While some parts of the country may witness mix of rain and snow, others are likely to be dry, with sunny skies.

Northeastern parts of the country are likely to witness a rainy Thanksgiving. When the rain will occur entirely depends on how quickly the storm in Midwest moves eastward. Temperatures will not be too frigid. Snow or a wintry mix of rain and ice is foreseen in some places.

Down South, the weather forecast is good news for the residents right from Georgia to Florida. The day is expected to be pleasant enough, with no precipitation. Temperatures will reach 70 degrees in Atlanta and 80 degrees Fahrenheit in Miami. On the other hand, Americans in southwest region will observe sunny skies, with temperatures mostly in the 60 and low 70 degrees Fahrenheit.

As far as the Midwest region is concerned, rain is expected in parts of Ohio and Michigan. Northern Minnesota and North Dakota may also observe some snow on Thanksgiving. Temperatures are expected to range between 30 and 40 degrees Fahrenheit in the upper Midwest, while Nebraska and Missouri will witness the mercury settling in the low 50s.

Most places in Western US will observe clear skies on Thanksgiving. Though, scattered rain and snow showers are expected over parts of Washington, Oregon, Northern California, Idaho and Montana. Isolated snow is also likely over Southern Wyoming. Temperatures will be in the upper 40s across the Pacific Northwest, Utah and Montana, while parts of California will witness mercury settling between 60 and 70 degrees Fahrenheit.
