In Germany, at present, the days are dry and sunny, while nights are comparatively cold.
According to weather forecasters, these weather conditions are expected to change soon, with temperatures rising once again as the week progresses.
This change in weather can be attributed to a high pressure area centered over eastern and central Europe. Besides, the milder air from the Atlantic Ocean will gradually replace the recent arctic chill.
The normal high temperature across much of Germany in early days of December generally settles between 4-5 °C.
The dry days and cold nights will continue on Tuesday, with temperatures ranging between 0-6 °C during early morning hours, and reaching up to 1-6 °C during the day.
However, temperatures are expected to warm up to 10 °C in many areas on Wednesday and into Thursday. Dry weather will continue to prevail over most places in Germany on Friday as well. Northern cities like Hamburg, Berlin and Rostock will witness maximum temperatures of around 9 °C.
As per weatherman, much of northern and coastal areas of Germany are likely to have the cloud cover, with a few possibilities of rain from Wednesday night onward till Thursday. Residents are advised to carry umbrellas rather than gloves to Christmas markets.
During this weekend, a cold front will move across Germany, bringing widespread rains and mild temperatures which will follow early next week. In the coming week, the primary storm track will bring storms that will arrive from the west with chances of rain and gusty winds. However, only the southern parts of Germany will not be affected by this wet weather.
