After a rather warm and dry first half of February, there will be a change in the weather with rain, mountain snow and cooler weather on Wednesday and Thursday.
This change in weather is due to a storm that will move in from the Pacific Ocean. The track of this storm will be much further to the south than those which have struck during February. While this storm will be not intense but, will still bring drenching rain and heavy mountain snow over the central and northern parts of California. Some rain can be expected across the southern parts of California. Rain in central and northern portions of California coastline will commence from Wednesday afternoon. People in the region have been advised to carry umbrellas and rain coats for the evening commute.
Rainfall is expected to intensify across central California with a possibility of localized flooding and mudslides across the area affected by wildfires in 2015. Intermittent rainfall is expected to occur over southern California on Wednesday night. This will be the first time that Los Angeles will get rain this month.
Once the storm leaves the region cooler and drier weather will make its presence felt in southern California during the weekend. For northern California another storm system will bring rain and mountain snow on Friday.
