Storm Barbara has already been wreaking havoc over several parts of United Kingdom. So much so that the storm killed a couple of people in Scotland. The storm will continue to cause travel disruptions in many parts of the United Kingdom.
Gale force winds along with heavy rains are likely to affect several parts of United Kingdom on Christmas eve including areas of Wales and Northern England. Northern Scotland is likely to witness some rain and snow. Power outage could be observed in many areas due to strong winds and winter rain.
After Storm Barbara, a third winter storm, Conor is likely to affect parts of United Kingdom on Christmas Day. The most affected will be the northern parts of the UK.
Northern England as well as northern areas of Ireland are expected to witness rains along with winds gusting up to 60 mph. Coastal areas may be affected by larger waves as well. Not only this, power supplies may also be affected.
There may be some delays in terms of flight and ferry services. Both Christmas day and Boxing Day will have unsettled weather at least in some parts. However, weather conditions will once again improve December 27 onward.
