There have been observing power outage and many teams were clearing up fallen trees. Firefighters have been using a hydraulic platform along with a chainsaw for removing trees from properties. Storm Ciara also killed one person after a tree fell on his car.

In case of West Midlands Railway and London Northwestern services, cancellations were in order and to make it easier for travelers, replacement buses were set up. Flights from Dusseldorf and Frankfurt to Birmingham airport also suffered cancellations. As Germany also suffered the effects of Storm Ciara, flights from Munich also were cancelled.

In fact, even on Monday, there were parts of the United Kingdom which did see blizzards along with snow around 20 cm resulting in travel disruptions. Over a month and a half worth rains were seen in many parts in just about 24 hours.
