Stronger Strom Angus causes havoc; flooding, gusty winds, power cuts
The first storm of the season, Storm Angus, makes its way in the United Kingdom with gusty winds of up to 135kmph pounding the southwest coast. The regions are facing heavy rain and flooding.
Reports have come that there has been a river burst in Devon which forced dozens of people to evacuate. Another report has come in that the South West of the country is currently without any power.
People traveling were also affected drastically. Most of the railway trains in southern England were cancelled or delayed on Sunday morning. This was done so that the staff could ensure tracks were clear of debris.
Police evacuated a residential park when heavy rain caused the River Mole to burst its banks. Within an hour after the incident the rain stopped and the flooding water diminished quickly.
The force of winds made sure that nearly 70,000 homes in western and northwestern France were left without power.
