The WD is likely to cause thunderstorms accompanied by rain and strong winds, which will help in bringing the temperatures down. However, there are chances of moderate to heavy rains in some parts of Pakistan which could lead to flooding and inundation in those areas. So, the people in Pakistan are suggested to take precautions particularly in north Pakistan and the hilly areas.

As of now, the temperatures are settling close to 44°C mark and heat wave conditions are prevailing over most parts of the country with heat wave in isolated pockets. The WD and its induced cyclonic circulation will start affecting Pakistan from the 9th and will recede by the 12th and clearance will be on the 13th. The WD will be in northern Pakistan and its induced cyclonic circulation will be in central and adjoining west Rajasthan.
