A gradual improvement in weather is expected for the firefighters who are engaged with cold springs fire in Colorado later this week.
The cold spring’s fire started near Nederland, Colorado on Saturday when a camp fire was not properly extinguished. After this the fire has spread to over 500 acres and this is possible due to strong and shifting winds. Thousands of people have been evacuated and many homes have been burned since the start of the fire. On Wednesday residents of the Saint Anton Highlands and Falls Pointe will be able to return to their homes.
Around 25 percent of the fire has been contained till now. There is some good news for the firefighters as the blustery conditions which caused the fire to grow are expected to diminish later this week. After gusty winds that blew across the region on Tuesday, the wind speed will reduce gradually through the course of this week. The system which brought winds has moved away from Colorado.
Few thunderstorms are possible on Thursday and Friday. Any rainfall will be beneficial as it will eliminate dry fuel for fires to feed on. People in the area have been advised to be careful in dealing with cigarettes, camp fires and matches.
