Rainy weekend ahead for Boston, Massachusetts

July 9, 2016 6:59 PM | Skymet Weather Team

While Boston unlike its other counterparts enjoyed a sunny Fourth of July, this weekend has something else in store for the state. Wet weather is likely ahead for Boston with clouds being in domination for the rest of the weekend.

Cool winds blowing from the Atlantic will keep the temperatures under check, keeping hot weather conditions at bay. The entire state of Massachusetts may even see an inch of rain during the next few days. Temperature s will be in the low-60s along the coast, and just a tad bit higher in the inland areas.

Sunday will remain cloudy with few intermittent showers making conditions pleasant throughout the day. These rains will be good as a drought forecast was issued for quite a few areas of Massachusetts on Friday.

However, as the weekend comes to a stop, weather conditions are also expected to take an unfortunate turn. So much so that dry weather conditions will once again take over the state of Massachusetts.

In fact, the temperatures which will be comfortable throughout the weekend, are likely to skyrocket during the next week. By mid week, temperatures may even reach up to the 90s.
