Weekend plans in the United Kingdom may have to take a short break for the Britons as most part of UK is likely to witness some wet spells.

After a prolonged dry weather, which soared most of the UK, weekend is going to fetch some good showers along with some round of winds.

Rains are likely to lash most parts of the Britain including Northern Ireland and Scotland around Friday night. This is likely to go on through Saturday as well. Some locally sharp spells are also a possibility over the area.

As per the weatherman, rains along with strong winds gusting at a speed of 30 mph are a possibility across the Wales along with northern England and Scotland. Moreover, the wind gusts could be even more at the areas at higher elevations and also along the coastal regions of the country.

These areas are expected to witness wind gusts at a speed of 40mph. Moreover, before advancing towards the rest of the UK, these winds are expected to reach southwest England, Wales and northern England Saturday afternoon.

The rest parts of the country may witness these winds possibly on Saturday night into Sunday as well. The Meteorology Department of UK also claims that Southampton Boat Show which is scheduled on Saturday, may also get to see some short spell of rains.

However, a relief from the ongoing above the normal temperatures is also foreseen on Saturday across much of England. Temperatures are likely to remain near 22°C in London while, the Southeast may witness temperatures settling down at 20°C.

This will further lead to some cool breeze moving across the entire country on Sunday. This would further knock down the temperatures to scale below normal in the North and west.

Scattered showers are also expected across the region while widespread rainfall is expected in Northern Ireland, Wales, northwest England and western Scotland. Thereafter, another storm system is also expected to target the UK which will bring in some more rains and winds on Monday and Tuesday.
