The Madinah region of Saudi Arabia has been lashed by heavy rain and thundershowers accompanied with hailstorm.
As a result of heavy thundershowers accompanied by hailstorm activity, several vehicles were damaged in the entire region of Madinah. According to reports the general authority for meteorology and environmental protection has given away alerts. Classes have also been suspended in the region due to these activities.

On Saturday, light to moderate rains were seen in several areas including Makkah. However, these rains are still active in a few regions which include Dawadmi and Al-Baha province.
Light rain showers were seen on the outskirts of Dammam and its adjoining areas which included al-Khobar, Qatif, Ras Tanura, Jubail, Khafji and Hafr Al-Batin.
Among the many areas which were included in the rain activity were also Sakaka, Domat Al-Jandal, Zallum, Sawyer, Al-Adharea, Khu’aaa and Adhfaa.
Al-Ras governorate experienced heavy to medium rain. Light to moderate rain was seen in northwest Saudi Arabia region. Scattered rain fell over the Haql governorate. Jeddah and Riyadh had an overcast sky along with partly cloudy to cloudy sky on Saturday.
The public was asked to follow safety directives and guidelines while venturing out in the rain.
