Slippery roads from rain, ice and snow can be expected from the Midwest to the Northeast during the latter part of this week.

In Northwest US, rain could slow travel and lead to air travel delays in Portland and Seattle on Thursday.
The heaviest snow is likely during Thursday, approaching a foot across the Washington Cascades. Snow will expand into the Bitterroots and Tetons during the night.
Light snow and flurries may cause air travel delays in Denver and Salt Lake City on Friday.
Strong winds could also lead to steering issues for high-profile vehicles across the High Plains late in the week.
As the main storm track will be across the northern tier of the nation this week, travelers across the southern half of the nation may expect a few weather issues.
By Friday, spotty showers may affect part of the Florida Peninsula. Weather conditions are expected to worsen over much of the Central states by Christmas Day as a major storm with snow, wind and severe weather may approach.
