Weather seems to stay perfect for the New York City Marathon that is scheduled for Sunday, November 6.
More than 50,000 runners are going to take part in through the five boroughs of New York City on the 46th annual New York City Marathon.
As per the weatherman, cold but dry mornings and afternoons are foreseen on the day of the event. Moreover, a waft from the northwest is likely to affect the contenders along the exhausting 26.2-mile course.
Rain and showers are not expected to make an appearance on Sunday though a little cold front may force the runners to carry a jacket along.
The quantity of wind that may impact the weather and temperatures along with runners across New York may be determined by how rapidly a storm system leaves southeast Canada. The storm is likely to produce unruffled and windy conditions from Friday until Saturday.
If the storm system departs quickly by Sunday, milder weather conditions will prevail, on the other hand, if the system lingers on over southeastern Canada, windy conditions will prevail.
Temperatures at the start of the race are likely to remain in mid-40°F, slowly rising into the lower 50's by the time race will conclude in the afternoon. Hence, the forecast for this year’s race looks rosy and promising for the New York city Marathon.
The race will initiate from the Verrazano-Narrows Bridge in Staten Island and there it can be breezy, claims the meteorologists.
