Since the last few days, most parts of Bangladesh were experiencing dry weather conditions except northern areas including Sylhet and Mymensingh. Though adjoining Meghalaya and parts of Northeast India received heavy to very rainfall. But now, in the next 48 hours northern parts of Bangladesh are expected to receive good amounts of rain.
As most parts of Bangladesh are low lying areas i.e. they lie at a very less height, making it prone to flooding. Most parts of northern and some parts of Central Bangladesh usually face a waterlogging situation when heavy rains affect the region.
Monsoon is around the corner and in the next 4 to 5 days, eastern and northern parts of Bangladesh will start receiving Monsoon rains. Most parts of the country are experiencing high temperatures. After Monsoon, a significant drop in the temperatures is expected.
At present, the maximums are being recorded around mid 30s. After Monsoon hits the areas, the temperatures will come down in the lower 30s bringing in comfortable conditions for the residents of the country.
