The city that never sleeps, New York City will be up sweltering as another day in NYC will be hot and humid like Caribbean. The temperatures are expected to reach up to 90°F, according to country’s Weather agency.
On Wednesday, a heat advisory has been issued for various five regions. The heat wave is expected to last till 7 p.m. Thursday.
“The city is going to feel an increase in humidity this week. This is expected to make the sultry summer temperatures seem hotter than they already are," said the weatherman from a private forecasting agency.
The country’s Weather agency said that in Central Park, the maximum temperature recorded was at 91 degrees Fahrenheit. But the humidity level in the area made it feel closer to 93 degrees Fahrenheit.
The weather for Thursday is anticipated to be even hotter. Some scattered thunderstorms are possible but that too only in the afternoon.
Around 6:15 a.m. today morning, Manhattan recorded 79 degrees Fahrenheit and by the end of the day the maximum temperature recorded is expected to reach near 91 degrees Fahrenheit.
But the Weather agency expects it to touch 100 degrees Fahrenheit.
“If you’ve got access to a pool, use it!” is said by the weatherman. A late day thunderstorm on Friday may bring some much needed relief.
