A threat of elusive thunderstorm is expected to hit the north-central United States. The areas that are most likely to get affected due to these volatile storms are Montana eastward to Minnesota and southward to Kansas and Missouri.
The intensifying storm system over the northern Plains is expected to fuel hot and steamy air to the development of this storm system.
On Saturday night as well, parts of Dakotas and Minnesota observed some violent thunderstorms and winds. These storms are expected to be more active during overnight hours.
The risk of these storms shifting eastwards on Monday towards eastern Nebraska and Dakotas to Minnesota, Iowa, western Wisconsin, Kansas and Missouri also persists.
According to meteorologists, this severe threat will initiate early this week. Few cities in the following states - Winnipeg, Manitoba; Fargo and Grand Forks, North Dakota; Sioux Falls, South Dakota; Minneapolis; and Omaha, Nebraska have to be kept under observation.
Moreover, possibility of tornadoes and flash floods due to these large hails and winds cannot be ruled out as well. Flash flood alarms are possibly high for cities like Kansas City, Missouri; Cedar Rapids, Iowa; and Thunder Bay, Ontario.
As per the weathermen, few thunderstorms are possible on Tuesday as well, however, danger of severe weather condition may be ruled out as the system is likely to shift into western Great Lakes.
