Much of the NSW will be gestured by the ongoing heatwave this New Year. Though the hot and stormy conditions in most part of Australia over the past week is expected to disperse. This would lead to settled weather conditions important for New Year festivities.
However, Perth may witness scorching heat, temperatures settling at 38°C during the initial days of 2017. The weekend will witness heatwave in NSW covering the entire northern region of the state including the coastline.
As per the weatherman, New Year’s Eve is expected to remain hot and humid though the sultry weather conditions can be ruled out and temperatures may again settle at 24°C by Monday. The state’s mid-north coast and northern rivers may witness extreme heatwave until Sunday.
As per the health advisory, people who are prone to heat illness or those who are socially isolated need to take extra care. Moreover, people are advised to stay well hydrated.

MELBOURNE
Severe rain warning which may lead to flash flooding is still in place for East Melbourne. The temperature on Saturday will drop to 24°C with minimums settling at 16°C. Southeast suburbs may witness light morning drizzle on New Year’s Eve. The weather will remain sunny and cloudy. Light showers are likely on Sunday with mercury settling at 21°C.
SYDNEY
Weather is expected to be highly humid with the possibility of a late storm. Relief is expected on New Year’s Eve with the mercury dropping down to 28°C with a low of 24°C. Chances of some showers are expected on the morning of New Year’s Eve. Rains likely on New Year’s with 28°C temperature.
BRISBANE
Brisbane will witness warm and sunny days. The temperature may reach 34°C for the New Year weekend.
PERTH
Saturday will see 27°C for Saturday with a chilly night of 13°C. Mercury is expected to reach to 32°C on New Year’s Day. Sunny days will prevail throughout the week.
ADELAIDE
A sunny weather awaits on New Year for Adelaide. Temperatures will hover about 25°C all weekend with the possibility of light rains. Minimums will settle at 16°C on New Year’s Eve.
CANBERRA
A sunny New Year’s Eve is anticipated for Canberra with temperatures settling at 32°C on Saturday. Minimums may settle at 18°C. New Year’s Day may be cloudy with mercury settling at 29°C
DARWIN
New Year weekend may bring a stormy weather with temperature settling at 31°C.
