November 7, 2014 4:03 PM |

f1 CroppedBrazil is all set to be taken by storm, literally.

As Formula 1 fever gears up to envelope Brazil on Sunday, rain is expected to make the track treacherous for the drivers.

As Formula 1 heads to one of the oldest and most loved venues in calendar i.e. Sao Paulo, all eyes will be set on the race and the pace.

The Autodromo Jose Carlos Pace at Sao Paulo, fondly referred as Interlagos has a lap length of 4.309 km & there will be 71 laps making it a total of 305.939 km race. This year’s races have been mainly contested between Lewis Hamilton & Nico Rosberg, with Lewis Hamilton slowly but surely forging ahead. Thus, F1 aficionados are eagerly waiting for another closely fought contest between Lewis Hamilton & Nico Rosberg, that too on a wet track, what with thunderstorms predicted in the afternoon & race is set to start at 1500h local time.

Rain will not only make the track treacherous for the drivers, as it will become wet and slippery with tendency to skid, it will also make life difficult for spectators, if it starts pouring. The weather forecast for the weekend is that temperatures will range between 17 & 21ºC, while humidity will hover around 80%, making it a sultry afternoon. However a light breeze from Southeast will freshen up the drivers & spectators alike.

Lewis Hamilton of Mercedes has vowed to win the championship by winning the last two races, though the penultimate race at Sao Paulo would not decide the championship, it can set up for an exciting finish in the last race of the year. Lewis Hamilton will not like leave it for the last race at Abu Dhabi, where double points will be up for grabs. Last year, Sebastian Vettelof of RedBull led a comfortable one-two in Sao Paulo, but who will be the winner this time around, only Sunday will tell.
