Most of the rain will move off the southeastern parts of UK, enabling mostly dry conditions for Monday’s bank holiday across much of UK.
While most of the central and northwestern parts of Europe will endure wet and unsettled conditions, the high pressure area across much of the British Isles will be responsible for the dry conditions. There is a slow moving storm system that is located over Germany. The rain from this system will not be moving northwestwards towards the North Sea during daytime on Monday. As a result of this the rain will not occur over UK until Tuesday.
Much of UK will experience bright and sunny conditions throughout the day on Monday. There might be fog or clouds during morning hours across eastern Scotland as well as in eastern England from the North East to East Midlands. Once the clouds and the fog lifts up, the conditions will be mild and sunny across the region.
Towards the southeastern portions of UK, the storm system over Germany will cause clouding and a moderate northerly breeze which will make the conditions cool. In London the conditions will be mild and close to seasonal temperatures will be recorded.
A few thundershowers are possible across the Scottish Highlands and Northern Ireland on Monday. The wet weather will make its presence felt from Tuesday and will continue on Wednesday as well across England and Wales.
