Rain and thunderstorms have occurred over scattered places of Islamabad, Lower Sindh and higher areas of Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Federally Administered Tribal Areas of Pakistan, and also over isolated places of Zhob and Makran divisions.

These rains can be credited to southwesterly winds blowing from Arabian Sea and reaching South Sindh and Balochistan. Moreover, a cyclonic circulation is seen over South Pakistan. Also, a Western Disturbance lies over North Pakistan and adjoining Jammu and Kashmir.

In a span of 24 hours from 08:30 am on Sunday, Kakul recorded 50 mm of rainfall, followed by Jhelum 31 mm, Islamabad 29 mm, Rawalpindi 23 mm, Balakot 21 mm, Sialkot 11 mm, Zhob 10 mm, Lahore and Dir 7 mm, Cherat 6 mm.
As per weatherman, light to moderate rains with isolated heavy spells along with gusty winds are expected over scattered places of West Sindh, Balochistan, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Federally Administered Tribal Areas of Pakistan, Islamabad and Upper Punjab.
Besides this, isolated rain and thunderstorm may appear over South Punjab too.
For now, the weather of Karachi and nearby neighborhoods is likely to remain mostly dry, however isolated light rain cannot be ruled out. Rain is anticipated to appear over Karachi around July 23-25.
