Scientists and officials from NOAA’s National Center for Environmental Information announced that June 2016 was the hottest on record United States.
The month of June experienced an average temperature of 71.8 degrees Fahrenheit. 17 states in the West, Great Plains and Southeast were well above average said NOAA.
Way back in June of 1933 the warmest weather was observed at 71.56 degrees of temperature. Last year in June, USA recorded the third-warmest (now) on record at 71.4 degrees.
The first half of 2016 has been the warmest ever on any record by NOAA. The first six months of 2016 was observed at 3.2 degrees above the 20th-century average. The average temperature of 50.8 degrees was recorded in the first 6 months of the year.
The report also said, "Alaska continued to shatter heat records and every state has been warmer than average for the year to date.”
It is also the dryness that is causing a lot of problem other than the obvious rising heat levels. The average rainfall of 2.47 inches was observed last month. It was the 14th-driest June on record for the country.
The lack of rainfall has made drought-like conditions in parts of the Southeast, Northwest, Northeast and Plains.
