Strong Pacific storm has been lashing hefty sums of rain with strong winds over California. This incessant rainfall has managed to claim 4 lives in the state till now.
On Friday evening, two persons were killed in a fatal accident on Interstate 15. In one incident, a car skidded near Mira Mesa Boulevard on Interstate 15. One person died and three were injured in this incident.
One person was rescued from the roof of a car on Friday evening as multiple vehicles were flooded away from road in San Bernardino County. A rescue group was able to reach a submerged vehicle at Doris Davies Park in Victorville where one individual was found dead, according to the San Bernardino County Fire Department.
Reports of mudslides and power outages were widespread along the California coast, where inches of rain have caused major travel problems.
Many areas of Southern California were started without any power. More that 116,000 customers were without any electricity. The situation is so bad at the San Francisco International Airport that the authorities led multiple flight cancellations on Friday. More than 150 flights were called off in the morning and afternoon. On Friday, more than 300 flights arriving and departing were delayed at Los Angeles International Airport.
