Storm Eva brings fresh flooding fears for Cumbria, which is already dealing with the aftermath of flooding for the third time in a month. Flood-hit locals in Cumbria are awaiting heavy rain in the run-up to the Christmas Day.

Appleby, Glenridding, Keswick and Kendal were all flooded as rivers burst their banks on Tuesday. Several military staff and about 700 Environment Agency workers are supporting the residents. The government has committed to provide £ 60 million for rescue and repairs.

The River Eden burst its banks once more in Appleby. This brought localized flooding in the low-lying sands area of the town.

Around December 5, Storm Desmond destroyed hundreds of properties as it brought along torrential rains. Few days later there was a further deluge. This time around, Glenridding was the worst hit.

Several neighbors and people from other religions have come for help.
