Winter storm Niko targeted the Northeastern region of the United States. 

Some of the areas in the region witnessed heavy to extremely heavy snowfall.

It was the biggest snowstorm of this season for Northeast United States

Air traffic was the most affected due to this storm. More than 3000 flights have been cancelled.

Blizzard conditions looms over most of the areas.

Not one or two, this wintry snowstorm affected 12 states.

Winter Storm Niko helped most of the Northeast US states to cover up the snowfall deficiency that they have been witnessing.

Blustery winds gusting at a speed of 80 kmph to 115 kmph lashed most parts of the region.

At least a foot of snow was recorded in the states of New York, Maine, Connecticut, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, and New Hampshire.

A record snowfall was observed in Pennsylvania of 120 years. Other areas including New York and Binghamton also broke snow records.
