Hurricane Matthew to throttle Carolinas and GeorgiaHurricane Matthew has wreaked havoc in Haiti killing over 800 people, making it one of the deadliest storms of the decade. Thereafter, Matthew scraped the Florida coast yesterday. As per reports, four have lost their lives.

The storm has caused severe damage in Florida and over a million people in the state are without power. In fact, the storm has already started affecting South Carolina and Georgia. The three states are witnessing major power outages.

Haiti has already been termed as a disastrous zone. Now, a state of emergency has been declared in the four states of Georgia, Florida, North Carolina as well as South Carolina.

Now the eyewall of Hurricane Matthew continues to approach the coast of South Carolina and Georgia. Gusty winds with heavy rains are expected over both of these areas. In fact, some severe flooding is also in store for South Carolina, Georgia and some parts of Northern Carolina.

As per National Hurricane Center, Hurricane warning has been issued to at least five million people right from Georgia to North Carolina. Wind gusts up to 165 kmph is possible in many parts of the region.

The eyewall of Hurricane Matthew has arrived towards the South Carolina coast which will spread over more parts of Georgia and Carolina coast soon. Expect flooding rains with massive damage over many of these areas.
