Parts of mid-west United States witnessed some snow onto Sunday night thereafter dispersing over northeast until the start of next week. This is more likely to make the weather conditions over the Midwest United States chilly.

Heavy snow is expected to accumulate on the grassy and exalted surfaces and thick snow may blanket the roads creating hurdles for travelers.

Hefty snow totaling of approximately nine inches lashed around Davenport, Iowa on Sunday morning before it ended on Sunday afternoon.

Snow summing up from 3-6 inches on flat surfaces across northern Illinois is also expected to continue around Chicago. Though, this snow will have less or nil accumulation on roads in downtown Chicago, however, 1-2 inches of snow may also appear on the western suburbs.

Although if heavy snow bursts out in the lakefront, slick weather is also probable for the downtown Chicago city. The snow has led to air disruptions causing flight delays or rescheduled particularly at Chicago's O'Hare International Airport. On Sunday afternoon, the flight arrival witnessed delays exceeding for an hour.

Early evening hours will witness some snow in Chicago before spreading across northern Indiana and Michigan. The roads of Grand Rapids and Kalamazoo, Michigan may also accrue a total of 3-6 inches of snow, on the other hand, 1-3 inches of snow may fall in the Traverse City, Michigan.

Detroit and Cleveland may also witness marginal temperatures that may lead to light snowfall in Detroit and Cleveland.

However, as the snow shifts into the Northeast, the wet patches around the Great Lakes will freeze overnight. More snow may accompany the coldest air of the season so far later in the week.
