It seems that the weather conditions for the U.K is just about to change. Some good rains and thundershowers are around the corner for Britain.
As per the Met Department, UK is likely to witness a drastic change in the ongoing weather conditions from August 18 onwards. The heatwave conditions that the nation is at present suffering from will get completely abated due to possibility of rains along with thundershowers within next 24 -48 hours.
However, weather in the far north and north-east of the UK are still expected to remain warmer until the weekend. For rest part of the country, weather is portraying a pretty rosy picture by Thursday. Though a few Britons who were waiting for a high 30 temperature might be disappointed.
The Met Department makes it clear that it is still unsure to say whether the spells are going to last until the weekend but Britain’s climate will gradually see the change from August 17 onwards.
They also falsified the earlier predictions of heatwave conditions. The department explained that the airflow that was coming from the southerly direction bringing in warm air from Spain and Africa has changed. Now the wind is coming from a south-easterly direction.
Though in the initial days of the week, Britain has witnessed soaring temperatures at 24°C. In fact, warnings were also issued for the Britons to take caution against the UV rays reaching high levels.
Additionally, measures for water conservation to fight against heatwave conditions and water shortages were also advised.
Although the forecasters also claims that the first half of the week seems to be pretty fine bringing in a lot of sunshine. Temperatures are also expected to range between mid to high 20°C. However, temperatures soaring up to 30°s has been ruled out now.
The reason for these rainfall can be attributed to the low pressure system coming in from the Atlantic. This means most parts of the UK will witness patches of rains over the weekend. However, there are still possibilities of some good sunshine in few parts of the country.
