Adelaide storm

As per the weathermen, destructive winds along with thunderstorms are likely over Adelaide by afternoon.

Because of severe weather lashing the state, Adelaide metro train services between Brighton and Seaford have been annulled. Ferry services between mainland and Kangaroo Island were also canceled due to high seas and relentless winds.

As per Weather Bureau, showers are expected to last through afternoon and evening across Adelaide, Port Lincoln, Kingscote, Maitland, Strathalbyn, Keith, Naracoorte and Mount Gambier.

Neptune Island off Eyre Peninsula observed wind gusting at a speed of above 100 kilometers/hour for the past three days.

As per the duty forecaster, winds were expected to gale at an enormous speed of 125 kilometer/hour across the southeast of the state. Parndana witnessed, gusting winds of 93 kilometer/hour while Mount Gambier had a wind gust of 91 kilometers per hour.

The severe weather conditions began in South Adelaide on Friday with robust winds tumbling trees and cutting power to more than 10,000 homes.

Several fallen trees at various locations like Toorak Gardens, Goodwood, Brukunga, Kenton Valley, Padthaway, Hahndorf and many others were reported affecting the road and communication services.

People are advised to park their vehicles away from trees and if possible should stay inside away from windows during the storm.
