Freezing air to continue across Germany into next week

A cold air bash is expected to arrive across Germany and no relief as of now is foreseen for the month. The chilly weather is expected to remain ingrained across the country and relief is not possible until next week.

Moreover, as per the weatherman, the temperatures are likely to remain below normal into next week and the reason that can be attributed with this is a high pressure building in from the north on Friday and Saturday which will bring in another shot of cold air.

This weekend, temperatures are likely to witness a high ranging from 2-4°C across the eastern and central part of the country. While during the similar time, temperatures may witness a high of 5-7°C in western Germany.

Munich, Frankfurt and Berlin may witness day’s high at around 8°C. A few good showers are also forecasted across parts of the country on Sunday due to a frontal boundary. However, most locations will witness short spells of less than 30 minutes.

Stuttgart, Frankfurt and Cologne are the areas that are most likely to get rainfall. Conditions will also be favorable for some snowfall as well. The possibility of some snowfalls is in the higher elevation of the country.

Moreover, some snowflakes along with rain are possible in the lower elevations. The first half of the week, temperatures will remain several degrees below normal. The weather pattern however can change over the later week.

Storms coming from the Atlantic could escort milder and more seasonable air across Germany. Though warmth is still not expected, the recent period of December-like chill may come to an end.
