Foggy mornings have started to become a regular feature in Dubai and other parts of the United Arab Emirates. The cosmopolitan city of Dubai was engulfed in dense fog on Monday morning when at least a hundred traffic accidents were reported during the early morning hours between 4 and 9 am.

Tuesday morning was no better as several parts of the UAE were once again engulfed in dense fog. Flight services were severely affected in Dubai and other areas of UAE. In fact, traffic accidents were also a common sight that day.

Visibility dropped to zero during the early hours of Tuesday which resulted in at least 70 inbound flights being delayed in Dubai. Between 6 am and 9 am, 60 more flights were delayed during that time. Several areas including Abu Dhabi witnessed reduced visibility conditions.

As per weather experts, these foggy conditions are expected to continue until Wednesday which means that more flight delays are possible. Residents, motorists in particular, have been asked to be aware on the road while driving during the early morning hours or when it is foggy.

These weather conditions can be attributed to the high pressure in the atmosphere over the United Arab Emirates. Temperatures are also expected to witness a gradual drop Wednesday night onward.
