Torrential rains have lashed several parts of London during the last 24 hours. This was also accompanied by heavy thunderstorms, squally winds, hailstorm and lightning.
In wake of this, weathermen have issued a flash flood warning. Moreover, torrential rains are likely to continue in London during the next few days, aggravating the flood situation.
Several homes, streets and tube stations in major places such as Ruislip, Harrow, St Margaret's Avenue were reported to be submerged in water.
Ruislip Manor Tube station was forced to be closed due to inundation and was reopened later on Thursday night. Greater London has also reported flooding in some parts.
Weathermen are expecting more heavy to very heavy rains and thunderstorms during the next 24 to 48 hours. The weather activity is also likely to spread across over many parts of England.
According to the Meteorologists, London and South East were the most at risk of being hit by bad weather.
The rains had earlier brought much respite from the scorching week, during which people of London had witnessed hottest day in September in the last 100 years. However, weather took a bad turn as the intensity of rain increased significantly.
