The kind of heat one expects in July is the kind of heat that is about to make a comeback this week over the Northeast of United States as temperatures are expected to hit 10-15 degrees above average.
From Philadelphia to Washington, D.C., and Richmond, Virginia, temperatures are expected to hit 90°F or higher each day until Friday. 90°F temperatures are expected over the New York City and Hartford, Connecticut during the latter part of this week.
In the early parts of September, the average high temperatures are in the range of middle 70s in Boston to the middle 80s in Washington, D.C.
Several hours during the afternoon over the Northeast region could also expect 100°F or more. The weather pattern will pave the path for warmer nights when compared to the temperatures of the past week.
When it comes to humidity, the conditions will not be as extreme as that of July & August.
However, people are advised to take precautions during hot and humid weather. Keeping yourself hydrated and minimizing physical activity during afternoon should be point number one on your to-do list.
The areas that will not be affected by the increasing temperatures are interior mid-Atlantic and New England. The temperatures in these areas can be slashed by 10-20 degrees. However, along much of the mid-Atlantic coast, temperatures will remain near or above average during next week.
