Snowfall from Olympia was the heaviest in Virginia, Kentucky, West Virginia, and Maryland, with some places in each state receiving over seven inches.

In the South, there were reports of suspected tornadoes touched down in Florida and Mississippi, which destroyed up to 10 homes and also damaged a high school.

Winter storm Olympia has led to five deaths and has left thousands of people without power across the entire region.

Meanwhile, the temperatures kept rising from Tuesday night. This could cause flooding due to melting snow in some areas. People in the east coast should be prepared for more rain and damaging winds as winter storm comes to an end.
