Southeast United States has been witnessing inclement weather conditions, all thanks to the prevailing rain and snow. As far as Boston is concerned, several parts observed heavy snowfall with Massachusetts being affected the most.

Areas including Maryland, Delaware, New Jersey, Rhode Island, North Carolina, New York, and Virginia witnessed around ten inches of snowfall. Until Tuesday, temperatures are expected to remain below the freezing levels which may make it difficult to move out of their homes.

Heavy snowfall was not only limited to the Boston region but went right up to Georgia. Not only did people witness massive power outages but hundreds of car crash incidents were also reported in the area. Flight cancellations as well as delays were another concern for the residents.

Areas including Maine as well as Mississippi in the southern areas have also observed widespread ice and snow. Northeast US was also not spared from the snowy weather conditions, particularly New England.

In North Carolina, at least 700 accidents have been reported, however, no casualties were caused. At least 20,000 blackouts were also reported in the area.

While the snow has moved away, maximum temperatures will be at least 10 to 20 degrees Fahrenheit below the normal levels. Not only this, both Virginia and North Carolina are likely to observe minimums falling up to single digit Fahrenheit.
