Australia Weather

Weather conditions in Australia are set to become even more extreme in the coming years.

Hotter summer days, wild storms and intense bushfires will torment the country as the impact of the climate change will take toll on the environment.

While Northern parts of Australia will observe severe storms, heavy rainfall and cyclones, southern parts may see more bushfires and longer droughts due to lack of rainfall.

The surface heat of Australia has mounted to 1 °C in 100 years and it is expected to continue soaring further.

Queensland may witness more wild weather during this weekend with storms heading to Brisbane and the Gold Coast on Friday afternoon and Saturday.

Temperatures in NSW and Victoria is likely to rise this weekend, reaching up to 27 °C in Sydney on Sunday and 23 °C in Melbourne. In Perth, temperatures may hit 22 °C over the weekend and will reach up to 28 °C on Tuesday.

Similarly, Adelaide will witness a heat wave of 30 °C on Saturday. The already smoldering city of Darwin will have a high of 34 °C all weekend and through next week as well, while Canberra and Tasmania will sit around the low-to-mid 20 °C across the weekend.

Australia has experienced its three warmest springs on record in 2013, 14 and 15. The record-breaking extreme heat seen recently will be considered normal in thirty years' time.

As per weather experts, more extremely hot days and fewer extremely cool days are on the cards for Australia.
