Despite heavy snow, Chinese woman only passenger on flightWhile heavy snow led to nearly 100,000 being stranded at the Guangzhou station in China, one lucky passenger who was heading home for the holidays got the entire plane to herself. The woman posted pictures of her solo trip on social media taking the internet by storm.

The flight was delayed by 10 hours leading to other passengers departing on earlier flights. Thus, Zhang (woman’s surname) ended up enjoying the personalized attention of the crew members. The China Southern Airlines is operated by using a Boeing 737-700 aircraft and it seats around 137 passengers.

During this time of the year, Chinese travelers head home to spend Lunar New Year with their families. The Lunar New Year begins on February 8. This travel is often referred to as largest human migration in the world. Usually, trains, flights and other modes of public conveyance are overcrowded.

Many people envied the good luck of Zhang saying how lucky she was to get a luxurious treatment during a chaotic travel period. She described her experience as a rare happy one saying that she felt like a rockstar. However, others felt it was too extravagant of the airline to be flying out an entire plane for a single passenger.

Meanwhile, more than 400 passengers missed their flight due to traffic jams on the roads. The snowfall was a rare occurrence in the region with some of the areas experiencing the coldest days in decades. Some areas observed snowfall for the first time in years breaking decades-old records.
