UK braces for cool and showery weather for the next few days. It will not be a total washout though and major cities like London, Birmingham and Glasgow will experience occasional sunny intervals almost every day.
On Tuesday, London’s temperature will settle just shy of the normal for this time of the year which is 20°C. During the remaining days of the week, temperatures will record 2-3°C below normal. In almost the entire region barring the coast, nights will be very cool and the temperatures will fall below 10°C.
The cause of this cool weather is a low pressure area over southern Scandinavia, which is combined with a rigid high pressure area over central Europe. This high pressure will be slow in breaking down and as a result the cool weather conditions are expected to last till the first half of next week.
