After the freezing fog, Wales is now expected to be dry and slightly warmer this weekend. Easterly winds will prevail over most parts of the country, which are generally cold in nature.
Though Saturday witnessed a foggy start, but during mid-day, the fog is likely to clear away, giving some bright and sunny spell with light breeze.
Temperatures are expected to settle around 8 degrees Celsius or so.
Saturday night will remain dry, however drop in temperatures to almost -3 °C is expected with light wind and frosts. It could be considered a pleasant night for stargazing due to clear sky conditions.
Likewise, Sunday will also be another dry and bright sunny day with longer sunny spells and maximum temperatures up to 7°C.
The weather conditions for the coming week seem to be quite milder, with a dry and sunny Monday. However, there are possibilities of patchy rain and strong winds by Tuesday and Wednesday.
The dense fog which covered Wales this past Thursday has caused travel chaos. It has created disruption on road and transport, also led to delays and cancellations of flights going in and out of Cardiff Airport.
Arrivals from Dublin, Edinburgh, Paris and Milan were the most affected on Friday. In fact, the police issued watches and warnings to the drivers.
There were also reports of dusting of snow in few parts of Wales on Friday.
