A new weather forecast is predicted for Adelaide which is expected to swelter at 40°C. Both the Christmas Day and Boxing Day are expected to soar in extreme temperatures above 35°C.

The upcoming festive season which includes Christmas Day and Boxing Day together across Adelaide is expected to bake in soaring temperatures. The state is likely to witness sweltering weather conditions.

The Bureau of Meteorology predicted an above 35°C temperatures for five days while the Christmas Day and Boxing Day are expected to witness a 40°C temperature.

Though there are chances of some showers on December 25 and December 27, but that would not give any relief from the sultry weather conditions. In fact, as per the Meteorological Department, heatwave conditions are also expected to loom across southeast Australia.

In simple terms, heatwave conditions occur when a particular region gets three or more days of high maximum and minimum particularly if the region has not been used to receive such high maximums continuously.

Moreover, the state is also predicted to witness an above 35°C temperatures and may even touch the 40°C mark at some occasions for the upcoming week sparing December 22, when the mercury may settle at 31°C.

Additionally, total fire bans are also expected which is likely to spoil the local’s Christmas barbie plans. As per the Country Fire Service, solid-fuel barbies will have to be closed if the total fire bans are declared on December 25. Though electric and gas fired barbies will still be allowed.

Though fire bans, if any will be announced by Saturday on the Christmas Eve.
