Effects of Pollution: China Buys Canadian Bottled Air

This might very well be the beginning of the end of this world.

What started out as a joke over the internet is now legit business and people are making out of thin air, literally in this case. Vitality Air, a Canadian company is selling air from the Rocky Mountains to the people living in Beijing, China. And that too at a staggering price of $30 per 7.7 liters.

Beijing’s upper middle class that is willing to do anything for a better standard of life is buying this product. The bottled ‘Premium Oxygen’ provides about 200 gasps which are for $30. This ‘Premium Oxygen’ has 97% of Oxygen with 3 percent of other gasses.

One report states that Beijing’s air is so polluted that breathing that for a day equals smoking 40 cigarettes. And recent reports say that more than 1.6 million people are killed due to respiratory issues caused by air pollution. So is this product a boon for the people of China?

Vitality Air is co-founded by Mr Lam & Troy Paquette from Canada. And they said that the entire thing started out as a joke. They filled a plastic bag with air and sold it off on eBay for under 0.50 cents. When they did this another time they sold it for an amazing $160, which tipped off the idea to start something so ridiculous yet genius. And China being so polluted is their biggest business center.

Back in the days, the idea of bottled water was considered absurd and bogus but slowly and steadily the practice of buying and consuming bottled water has become a lifestyle for us. But are we prepared for such a product?

Whether we are ready or not, the company is genius when it comes to market their product. And probable future markets for this company includes India. Just a few days back the company shared this article on its Facebook page.

"you can taste it, your throat starts to burn""tiny particles sticks to your lungs""my comparison, beijing is moderate"http://money.cnn.com/2016/02/17/news/economy/india-new-delhi-air-pollution/index.html

Whatever they claim, if this company becomes big then the future for us looks extremely bleak!
