California homes and roads have been flooded as a storm continues to wreak havoc over South California. So much so that at least four inches of rainfall was recorded in the Los Angeles area. The last of the trio of storms was the one to pound heavy rainfall over the southern region of California.

Due to this severe weather activity, at least four people have been killed and three are missing. Many others were also rescued from floodwaters at the time of the storms. Even after receiving a few inches of rain, flood warnings remained put for the state.

Long Beach along with Los Angeles witnessed record rainfall amounts on Sunday. A state of emergency had been declared in areas including San Diego, Santa Barbara as well as Los Angeles. During the middle of this week, travel conditions are expected to improve drastically.

However, the risk of avalanches remains throughout the week as slopes still have large amounts of unstable snow. Western United States will observe dry weather conditions in the coming week.

The only good news from this stormy weather is that the drought situation has improved and will be on the improvement mode in the coming week. As per the US Drought Monitor, northern California is now completely drought free.
